What Is lab readiness?
Lab readiness is a structured, two-phase validation and audit process carried out by our technical project team. It confirms that your receiving laboratory space is fit for purpose and compliant with the equipment and processes it will support.
With new laboratories often built years after initial design, specifications can easily fall out of alignment with modern equipment or current lab safety protocols. Lab readiness bridges that gap, ensuring a safe and seamless transition from construction to scientific operation.
Two-phase Technical Assurance
Phase 1 – Technical Review and Validation
Our specialists perform a detailed review of all utilities and infrastructure that support scientific and analytical equipment, including:
- HVAC and LEV systems – assessing airflow, extraction, and heat-load capacity
- Validation of water, gases, air, power, drainage, and waste services
- Bench positioning, clearance, and weight-bearing suitability
- Connection and fitting verification (isolation valves, regulators, conduit, cable lengths)
- Collaboration with OEMs, lab managers, and contractors to resolve design or installation issues
Each assessment results in a lab readiness report and gap analysis, highlighting corrective actions to achieve full operational readiness.
Phase 2 – Pre-Relocation Audit and Snagging
Before any lab relocation or commissioning, our team completes a final audit to confirm that all rectifications are complete, utilities are tested, and the space is ready for OEM and TPV attendance. This proactive approach avoids costly rework, failed installations, and schedule disruption.
